NDA Know the Rules Testing

Do you often find yourself arguing over the tournament rules during league nights? Avoid all the hassle with the NDA Team Dart Know the Rules Testing Day on Thursday, May 7th at 5:00pm for players who want to learn more about the NDA's official play rules.

Here's how it'll work: You'll take an open-book test that covers all of the rules of electronic darts, costing $10 for members and $25 for non-members.

Once you submit your test for scoring, either via NDA's website, mail, or the day of NDA Team Dart, you can become a Top Flite Member if you pass with 75% or higher! You'll also receive a certificate and a fancy pin of recognition for your heartfelt dedication to knowing the rules.

Once you've passed the test, you're also eligible to become a darts referee for NDA Team Dart if you're interested in enforcing those rules. It costs $50 to register, plus materials and handling charges. The official Referee Certification Class takes place on Saturday, May 9th at 2:30pm.

Fill out your registration form below for the Know the Rules Test, found on the official NDA Darts website:

Pink Ladies Dart League

Pink Ladies Dart League is teaming up with NDA Team Dart for a ladies-only special event on Friday evening, May 8th. Not only does this event promote a women-first space for darts, but it also spreads awareness and support for breast cancer. All proceeds raised during the Pink Ladies event will be directed towards the Pink Ladies Dart League.

This event is a Doubles 01 open-in, open-out competition. Ladies with a PPD (points per dart) up to 55 can participate in this event at the regular level, and players over 55 PPD will be placed in a Master level to even the playing ground.

We've made tons of jersey designs and L-Style dart flights for the Pink Ladies events! Check out our current designs below to show your support for women in darts and breast cancer awareness:

WHO CAN COMPETE?

In order to be eligible to compete in the 2026 NDA Team Dart events, you must check off all of the prerequisites for tournament players as dictated by the NDA team. Violations of any of the following requirements will void your entry, so make sure to double-check your eligibility before anything else.

All tournament players must:

Be at least 18 years of age and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. You must be 21+ to cash prize vouchers on-site.

Be sanctioned by the NDA for the 2025-2026 Membership Year and play in leagues run by an NDA Charter Holder in good standing. Compete during regular league play on qualified machines owned and operated by an NDA charter.

Have played a minimum of 96 league games between March 1st, 2025, and March 6th, 2026. Qualifying games must be obtained in no less than 8 separate weeks of league play.

Be entered in the tournament by the NDA Charter Holder on whose machines they have completed the minimum game requirements.

Have an NDA player skill rating using the PPD (points per dart) and/or MPR (marks per round) rating systems for the event in which they are entered. These performance ratings require a player to compete in 24 games in a single season for that event.

For a full, in-depth breakdown of all eligibility rules and conditions for the 2026 NDA Team Dart event, please review the NDA Darts website. Keep reading to find out how to register for the event!

Step 1: Paying Your Entry Fees

First things first, you'll need to pay your entry fees for NDA Team Dart, depending on your player status and which events you'll be competing in. You can view the chart to the left for a full breakdown of all entree fees.

Each player will need to complete a registration form as well, to be submitted alongside the NDA Team Dart entry fees to their operator or league coordinator. If you're playing on a team, whether it's doubles or triples, only one form per team needs to be filled out.

Ensure that your NDA Team Dart registration form includes your name, NDA Sanction number, and contact information, plus any teammates' information if applicable.

Dress Code: Do's and Don'ts

Like most darts tournaments, all participating players are required to follow the NDA Team Dart dress code. These rules are set in place to promote a professional image and uphold the 40-year-long tradition of Team Dart. Players dressed in non-compliant attire may be turned away at the event or prohibited from competing, so make sure to pack the appropriate clothing before your trip.

According to the NDA Team Dart website, here are some guidelines you can follow to dress appropriately:

NDA Team Dart Jerseys are recommended.

Players must have a clean and neat appearance.

All shirts must have sleeves. Tank tops or sleeveless shirts are not allowed.

Shorts cannot have cut-offs or ragged-edge hems, including distressed jeans.

Shoes must be worn at all times in the venue. Sandals, flip-flops, and open-toed shoes are allowed.

Logos or words depicting non-manufacturer sponsor dart equipment are not allowed. You will be asked to change your shirt as covering up the words is not allowed.

Shirts similar to the NDA's Official Referee apparel are not allowed on the tournament floor.

Teams must wear identical jerseys for all teammates with matching colors, sleeves, and logos on the front and back. Differing player names and/or numbers on otherwise identical jerseys are allowed. All other dress code rules apply.

Any player not in the proper attire will have a 15-minute grace period to make the necessary change. If a player needs to be told a second time, there will be no grace period.

Play it safe for NDA Team Dart by purchasing an official jersey straight from our sister apparel company, Magic Wear. We'll also have a booth available at the event, so you can buy the official Team Dart jersey or the Pink Ladies jersey there. Discount Custom Apparel, a local Las Vegas t-shirt company, will also be selling dress code-compliant jerseys at the venue hall.

You can also shop the NDA Team Dart jersey directly on A-Z Darts or head over to the Magic Wear website to select your size. These designs are ready to ship, so order ahead of time to have the right gear before your trip:

      • No outside beverages.
      • No outside food.
      • No mugs.
      • No coolers.
      • No vaping or e-cigarettes.
      • No weapons.
      • No pets.

Food and beverages purchased inside the tournament hall in the Westgate hotel are allowed, however. During NDA Team Dart event hours, you'll have the typical darts tournament rotating food options in chafers right outside the venue, like chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, salads, chips, etc.

Aside from prohibited items, flash photography and audible distractions (including watching videos, phone calls, whistling, etc.) are not allowed during the NDA Team Dart tournament. Service dogs are allowed, but you must contact NDA's tournament staff at info@nda.com or 800-808-9884 at least one week in advance of the event. Players found in violation of the same rule repeatedly will be asked to leave the event and will only receive two warnings.

Clear Bag Policy

Only clear bags no bigger than 12" x 12" x 6" are allowed at NDA Team Dart. To address safety concerns, clear bags allow the security team at NDA Team Dart to quickly view the contents of a bag as the security line moves.

  • Cross-body bags, purses, backpacks, and diaper bags are not allowed at the event.
  • Players may bring their dart cases to NDA Team Dart, but all dart cases must be opened and visually inspected by security to check for prohibited items.
  • Your bags are also potentially subject to inspection by tournament referees at any time during the event.

More Travel Tips

Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps — you'll never find yourself bored in Vegas! Here are some of our personal favorite activities from our previous travels to Las Vegas, including some familiar ones from our Las Vegas Open blog. Try these out in your free time after NDA Team Dart.

Inside The Hotel

Playing darts for 7 days in a row at NDA Team Dart can exhaust your energy, so take it easy by enjoying your meals inside the Westgate hotel at one of the plentiful options of restaurants. Here's a list of our personal recommendations:

Breakfast

Get your day started with some morning coffee and breakfast at one of the classic Westgate spots right before NDA Team Dart starts. Sid's Cafe offers the typical average diner food, but the prices are a bit elevated compared to other options.

If you just need a quick meal, Fortuna serves Starbucks Coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads right across from the hotel check-in area.

american breakfast

Lunch

Our absolute favorite lunch spot inside the Westgate hotel for a meal inbetween NDA Team Dart events is the Drafts Sports Bar & Grill.

They have everything you need for a classic bar experience, like burgers, wings, appetizers, and of course, sports. Place a bet, grab a drink, and let loose before your big events.

Dinner

Dinner is the biggest meal of the day, and the number of restaurants available inside the Westgate hotel is endless. Let's break it down by which restaurants need a reservation and which places accept walk-ins.

Reservation Recommended:

FRESCO Italiano and the EDGE Steakhouse are two very popular dinner choices at the Westgate hotel, serving a vast number of tourists. You'll need to make reservations for these places, even on weekdays, as these restaurants are incredibly busy every day. Here's the contact information for each restaurant so you can call to make a reservation:

  • EDGE Steakhouse: (702) 732-5277
  • FRESCO Italiano: (702) 732-5276
grilled salmon and greens on a plate

No Reservation Needed:

Silk Road Asian Bistro, RIKKI TIKI Sushi, and Benihana all accept walk-ins with varying wait times, depending on when you arrive. They're all located in the same village area inside the Westgate, so you can't miss them — just let the hostess know which dining option you're interested in out of the three.

Keep in mind that RIKKI TIKI Sushi is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but the other two are available all week.

We honestly highly recommend that NDA Team Dart players skip Benihana, even though the food is excellent, as the establishment is severely understaffed. Our team has experienced 2+ hour wait times for food throughout the meal.

Outside Food

Since you'll be staying so close to all of the major Las Vegas attractions and the Strip, you're a short distance away from great food options outside of the NDA Team Dart venue. All of these spots are within walking distance or a short car ride, or great DoorDash options if you don't want to go out.

BREAKFAST

Only a mile away or less from the Westgate hotel are two of our favorite breakfast spots: the Peppermill Restaurant and Siegel's Bagelmania.

The Peppermill Restaurant doesn't take reservations, so get there right at opening time to secure a table for you and your party. It's a great retro joint with all the favorite American breakfast classics.

Siegel's Bagelmania is a fun, walkable option for breakfast or lunch, where you can sit down and eat or utilize the to-go counter.

LUNCH

Order an Uber or get in your rental car for these lunch options, as they're a little bit further away, but offer delicious food for hungry NDA Team Dart goers.

The closest restaurant is Tacos El Gordo, only a 13-minute walk away. This taco spot is well-known amongst locals and tourists alike, making it a bustling location best for lunchtime.

Crack Shack is your absolute go-to for all things chicken, especially chicken sandwiches and fried chicken. Soulbelly BBQ is perfect for all-around fun with an American barbecue menu and live music.

tacos, fries, and packets of ketchup on a red tray

DINNER

Dinner has even more options and more variety outside of the NDA Team Dart venue.

Yardbird specializes in new Southern-style cooking with a large cocktail menu, while Herbs & Rye is an upscale dining experience that focuses on traditional cocktail culture and old-fashioned eats.

Try something new by going out for Gen Korean BBQ for dinner — typically an all-you-can-eat experience where you cook everything at your table. Servers will manage your endless meat orders and help you cook the different cuts if Korean BBQ is out of your usual comfort zone.

Zio's, Eataly, and La Pizza & La Pasta are all great Italian food options as well, with iconic foods like pasta, pizza, and gelato.
