Mike Maloney Darts Range by Winmau - Product Review

Mike "Hulk Smash" Maloney got into playing darts at the age of 21 when he was old enough to play in bars. Each bar visit made Mike's appreciation of the game grow bigger until Mike eventually found out darts could be played competitively. From there, his love skyrocketed and so did his career!

Mike began participating in local and out-of-state darts tournaments, kickstarting his professional darts career. Some of his notable tournament appearances have been back-to-back seasons of the CSC Challenger Series, Booyah Cup, and more. He's even #4 on the Booyah Cup Order of Merit.

As one of the newest soft tip players of Team Winmau, we're eager to see Mike brings his darts career to the next level with his new Mike Maloney darts range.

The Mike Maloney darts are characterized by three different reference points for grip. Starting in the rear is a smooth black band followed by a series of radial grooves and bands connected by purple-coated zig-zag milling. Another smooth section, engraved with the Winmau logo, separates the rear from the rest of the dart.

In the middle, we can see more simple radial bands, this time coated in the Hulk Smash's signature monster green. Finally, in the front of the dart are diagonal grooves that sort of twist and wrap around the barrel's nose.

Every Mike Maloney darts barrel is made from 90% tungsten metal makeup. This is a common theme amongst many other top Winmau player darts as the higher percentage of tungsten gives the barrel a more dense and slimmer feel without compromising weight and durability.

A unique splatter pattern across the Mike Maloney darts flights adds to the spontaneous personality of the darts' overall design, plus his name mirrored on the side in all caps letters. The design is complete with a reflective, chromatic silver coating that changes color as you move the dart around underneath light.

These special flights are new additions to the Winmau Prism Delta flights collection and are made from an extra thick, low-profile solid material that'll guarantee endurance and high performance.

Keeping it classic, Winmau used their top performing Vecta shafts to complement the Mike Maloney darts range. Each shaft is made with high-impact polycarbonate material with an alloy tip, ensuring these shafts are durable and effective.
