A dart cult favorite, the Target Cult Envy Darts Range introduces a black and gold dual-coated barrel that speaks to elegance as part of Target's December drop. The Cult Envy is an extension of the original high end 90% tungsten Cult range that we reviewed in the past, now featuring new barrel shapes to work with.
Jen Mounts gives you an in-depth review and unboxing of the Target Cult Envy Darts Range. She compares each model of the Cult Envy darts to the Original Cult barrels and elaborates on the overall design including cuts, coating and grip intensity - plus some throwing action at the end.
Let’s go over each aspect one by one:
The common themes all Target Cult Envy darts share are the black and gold titanium coating, the same cell grip cuts of the original range similar to older Elysian darts (in particular the generation 4 Elysian range), the gold Swiss point steel tips and the black Pro Grip Evo shafts.
Watch our previous review of the classic Target Cult darts range to get an understanding of the milling and cell grip cuts, cause this time around we're highlighting the new shapes!
Overall, we rate the entire Target Cult Envy darts range a grip intensity of 4 out of 5 just like the Original Cult range. The cell grip is the same, now with tons of variation in barrel shape and the gold coating in the front.
All Target Cult Envy darts share the same material composition – the barrel is made from 90% tungsten metal makeup. In addition to the high end tungsten makeup, these barrels come in a variety of shapes making this range a high quality option from this Target launch.
There are 4 total options available (3 steel tip labeled 01-03 and 1 soft tip barrel labeled 10) with multiple barrel weights for each option. Let’s start by comparing each Target Cult Envy darts model to their respective original Cult darts model.
These models are perfectly identical in barrel shape and cuts. As you can see, the brand new Target Cult Envy darts barrels no longer just have accents of gold – half the barrel is coated in gold! Target swapped the decorative gold base of the Original for the standard black Evo shaft. The 01 model is an amazing torpedo shape with a very subtle taper towards the front, perfect for mid to rear grippers.

Things got wild here with the Target Cult Envy darts steel tip model 02 and the OG 02!
Immediately, we see that Target adopted more of a teardrop shape with the Envy barrel and it’s noticeably shorter in length. It also tapers differently in the nose. Since model 02 is a front-loaded barrel with some length to it, the question will be: Where should you grip, in the center or the front?
Less of a dramatic difference from that 02 comparison is the final steel tip model 03. The Target Cult Envy darts 03 model got a little shorter in length and has a much larger max diameter compared to the OG model.
The shape is technically torpedo because the very center is the widest diameter and the barrel tapers downward in the front and back. We agree that this model is the most versatile barrel of the range, well suited for front, middle or rear grippers with a slight bias towards mid/front grippers for optimal performance.
Between the Target Cult Envy darts soft tip model 10 and the OG Cult soft tip models, they all share the same length – just slightly different degrees of torpedo shape. The Original Cult model 10 at the top has the most extreme torpedo taper with the largest max diameter in the very center.
Meanwhile, the original Cult model 11 at the bottom has a slightly smaller max diameter and less intense torpedo shape with a wider nose and skinnier rear, almost teardrop shaped. Because of this, the OG Cult model 11 is our outlier dart.
The new Target Cult Envy darts model 10 is technically closer to the shape of the original 10 with the nose and rear being closer in diameter; it’s just a way less dramatic torpedo shape and noticeably skinnier than both the OG 10 and 11 models.

As an upgrade from the OG Cult edition flights, the Target Cult Envy darts share the same gradated green and black background with warped intersecting lines – featuring a new gold foil coating at the top. The geometric lines in the middle are now in a deep green color instead of the original gold.
These special Cult Envy edition Pro Ultra flights have a unique spot UV design and are crafted in 100 micron for increased durability so your darts will last through all the throwing action.
With a two-part shaft design, the Pro Grip Evo shafts are the perfect pairing for the Target Cult Envy darts. The aluminum base features simple radial grooves that elongate the barrel and provide more grip in the rear.
This time, the black Evo shafts were used instead of the gold toned base of the OG Cult range.
