She began her darts journey with A-Z Darts as a successful sponsored player, is now our beloved Creative Director, and has come full circle with the debut of her Omega Jen Mounts darts range by Colonial.
Meet Jen Mounts | A-Z Darts
For those that have been following our A-Z Darts product reviews and socials, you're probably already well familiar with Jen Mounts! If you haven't already been introduced, Jen Mounts is the mastermind and creative wizard behind all of our product reviews and video content.
Originally an A-Z Darts sponsored player, Jen became a permanent member of the team back in 2017 after relocating from Washington state to work with us as a cinematographer and graphic designer. Since then, she has become an integral part of our marketing and creative team as our Creative Director, overseeing our other brands like Magic Wear and Colonial while directing our content creation and marketing.
Finally, after a long time coming and plenty of fan requests from supporters like you, the Jen Mounts darts from Colonial are finally available for purchase!
JEN MOUNTS DARTS RANGE VIDEO REVIEW
Jen Mounts gives you an in-depth review of her signature Omega Jen Mounts Darts Range by Colonial. She compares the soft tip and steel tip versions and elaborates on the overall design including cuts, coating and grip intensity – plus some throwing action in the end. Let’s go over each aspect one by one:
CUTS & COATING
Lovers of scalloped barrels, rejoice! To complement Jen's personal grip style, the Jen Mounts darts feature a precision mega-grip scallop in the middle of the barrel for consistent thumb and forefinger placement.
In the tapered nose at the front of the barrel, you can see radial grooves and deep axial cuts to provide additional grip. Meanwhile, the rear offers a smooth section with the same deep axial cuts for a unique style. (Note: the soft tip version of the Jen Mounts darts do not have a tapered nose profile; instead, the barrel is more straight.)
All Jen Mounts darts are coated with a sleek black titanium nitride, accented by deep red radial bands in the center.
GRIP INTENSITY 3/5
Overall, we rate the entire Jen Mounts darts range with a grip intensity of a 3 out of 5. With the scallop grip, this barrel is ideal for players who touch their fingers and thumb together in the middle. Players with a wide spread grip can also enjoy this barrel's ideal grooves.
90% TUNGSTEN BARREL
Every Jen Mounts darts barrel is made from 90% tungsten metal makeup. The higher percentage of tungsten gives the barrel a more dense and slimmer feel without compromising weight and durability.
Match Weighted
What's cool about our Colonial brand is even though we're all about affordability, we still take the time to match weight every set. This means you're guaranteed to receive 3 darts that are all within +/- 0.1 grams of the advertised weight.
The Jen Mounts darts are available in steel tip (23g) and soft tip (18g barrel only, 20g fully assembled) models. You can view the exact weights of the steel tip and soft tip barrels in the video above.
Length and Diameter
Between the steel tip and soft tip models of the Jen Mounts darts, there's only a slight difference in the length and diameter of the two. The steel tip model is slightly longer with a wider diameter, while the soft tip is shorter and a bit skinnier.

The Jen Mounts darts' steel tip length is about 50mm while the max diameter (measured at the widest or thickest part of the dart) is about 7mm.

Both the steel tip and soft tip versions of the Jen Mounts darts come as barrels only, except for the steel tip model which has a standard steel tip already attached. Flights, shafts, and other accessories are not included in the barrels. We encourage you to dress your new Jen Mounts darts barrels with your favorite trusty accessories!
