Mark McFadden's determination had been apparent from the very beginning of his darts career as he pursued his passion for darts and accomplished his dreams of darting success. It takes a special kind of hard work and drive to fulfill those ambitions – and Mark has it all! As a hallmark of his success, Colonial has produced the iconic Mark McFadden darts range and recently debuted the V2 barrel.
Carrying on his legacy is Mark's daughter where the duo participate in tournaments together. Being able to pass his love for the game onto his family has been Mark's most rewarding aspect of playing darts.
Mark McFadden says:
"I enjoy spending time with my family (darts and non-darts related), coaching sports for my daughter's school softball team, building custom PCs, cooking and supporting youth darts in and around my area."

A: Darts changed my life, it went from a hobby to a lifestyle that not only me but also my family have adapted to.

A: Remember that it is called a game for a reason, it’s supposed to be fun!
Q: What is the biggest highlight of your time playing darts?
A: Winning back to back years Adult/Youth events at the Western NY Shootout with my daughter.
Q: What is your Magical secret to winning at darts?
A: Practicing with purpose and not just throwing to throw.
Q: Do you have any words to live by or inspirational quotes?
A: If you want something bad enough and are passionate about it, put in the work and chase the dream as it very well may become a reality!
Q: If there is one thing you would like people to know about you, what would it be?
A: I love my wife and daughter more than life itself, they are my biggest source of inspiration and drive.

Between the V1 and V2 barrels of the Mark McFadden darts, both share the same length. Where the V2's individuality shines is the redesigned barrel cuts. The Mark McFadden darts V2 feature a new middle band of super thin radial grooves that break up the rest of the offset axial grooves, providing even more grip than before. A stark contrast from the vertical axial cuts of V1. We've also increased the weight of the V2 version, originally a 21g barrel and now available in 22g.
Overall, we give the Mark McFadden darts V2 a 5 out of 5 for grip intensity. The wide spaced bands and offset axial grooves create a lot of surface area for your fingers to rest nicely without getting cut up by the harsh cuts.
