Let’s go over each aspect one by one:
CUTS - INTRICATE DESIGN
As always, Shot impresses us once again with another beautifully intricate barrel design. Featured as a main characteristic of the Viking Rannsaka darts barrel is a new “Marauder grip” consisting of 12 lateral cuts across the barrel. Each cut is coated in a blood red color reminiscent of the Vikings' powerful reign.
Starting in the rear, a unique section for rear grippers has radial bands offset by thin axial cuts, and if you look closely you’ll see tiny microgrooves within the silver sections. Then, in the center, a shield grip offers the most aggressive texture since each silver section has a divot in them and lots of decorative milling.
The center has a slight taper and finally in the front, a more prominent taper towards the point copies the same milling as the rear – with the exception of the micro grooves.
GRIP INTENSITY 3.5/5
We rate the entire Viking Rannsaka darts range with a grip intensity of a 3 ½ out of 5. It has tons of milling up and down, but not too much for those that coil unless you grip in the center – the most aggressive section all around.

The Viking Rannsaka darts work really well for dart players of all skill levels with a widespread grip or 5 finger hold where you can take advantage of the milling throughout.
90% TUNGSTEN BARREL
All Viking Rannsaka darts share the same material composition – the barrel is made from 90% tungsten metal makeup. It's the perfect amount of tungsten metal to give the Rannsaka darts a special look and feel.
The higher percentage of tungsten gives the barrel a more dense and slimmer feel without compromising weight and durability.
WEIGHT & PURCHASE OPTIONS
The Viking Rannsaka darts steel tip and soft tip models only differ in overall length, the middle section and nose profile. The steel tip varation has 5 decorative bands in the middle shield grip compared to the soft tip’s 4 bands giving it more length in the center. It’s also longer in the rear and definitely longer in the front, with a sleek taper into the decorative steel point.
Rannsaka was designed for precision grouping. They look badass but the grip is super comfortable and it's a great option for a rear weighted dart.

Viking Point - STEEL TIP MODELS
The steel tip Viking Rannsaka darts are fitted with Viking steel tip points featuring laser engraved cross hatches that provide added texture and grip to the sisal fibers of a dartboard.
These tips are also made for smooth release so your dartboard won't get torn apart upon retrieving your darts!
Premium Lippoint - SOFT TIP MODELS
The Viking Rannsaka darts soft tip set includes Premium Lippoint soft tips from L-Style that work with all soft tip dartboards. They are durable and offer extra finger grip patterns at the base of the tip to help prevent bounce outs.

Viking Rannsaka Edition Flight & Shaft
Shot completely blew us away with an absolutely beautiful flight design for the Viking Rannsaka darts. The centerpiece of the flight design is the Fehu Rune symbol, an ancient Viking symbol of wealth and luck, surrounded by dragons detailed in red and gold. A deep royal blue background and extra gold accents complete the design into one elegant looking flight.
The Rannsaka edition flights come in a Standard version and L-Style EZ L1 version, which comes in a unique wide hourglass shape. Both versions of the Rannsaka flights are crafted in 100 micron for high performance and durability so your darts will last through all the throwing action.
Shot used their high performing Tao Carbon Shafts for the Viking Rannsaka darts. The name Tao comes from the name of a traditional Māori wooden spear, perfectly complementing the high quality construction of these shafts.
Each shaft is made to be lightweight and durable with premium spring rings, ensuring your darts don't fall apart or get damaged as you throw.
