MICHAEL VAN GERWEN'S LEGACY
Michael van Gerwen, also known as “Mighty Mike”, is well known for being a darts prodigy from a young age. He was the youngest player to ever win the 2006 World Masters and throw a televised nine-darter at the 2007 Masters of Darts.
With his raw talent and determination, Michael quickly rose to the top and became one of the best darts players in the world. He went on to win the title of PDC World Champion three times in 2014, 2017 and 2019 and subsequently became the No.1 ranked player in the world. Currently, Michael sits at No.3 only behind Michael Smith and Peter Wright.
A beloved Winmau player since 2020, the Winmau 2023 collection introduced the MVG Trilogy range as the Dutch superstar's 2023 edition darts to carry him into the next chapter of worldwide success.
MVG TRILOGY DARTS RANGE VIDEO REVIEW

CUTS & COATING
Much like the rest of the MVG designs from Winmau, the MVG Trilogy barrel features the familiar Mighty Mike straight barrel shape, milling patterns and smooth sections. In fact, this barrel closely resembles the MVG Exact darts range with similar placements of the smooth notches and grooves.
What makes the MVG Trilogy range so special is the unique 24c gold plating and Onyx performance coating. The barrel is remachined after coating to cut more radial grooves and reveal the natural silver of the tungsten billet, which really complements the barrel design!
GRIP INTENSITY 3.5/5
Overall, we rate the entire MVG Trilogy darts range with a grip intensity of a 3 ½ out of 5. The grip is a little on the aggressive side, but the smooth sections in the middle and rear offset the intensity.
90% TUNGSTEN BARREL
Every MVG Trilogy darts barrel is made from 90% tungsten metal makeup. This is a common theme amongst many other top Winmau player darts as the higher percentage of tungsten gives the barrel a more dense and slimmer feel without compromising weight and durability.
WEIGHT & PURCHASE OPTIONS
The only real difference between the MVG Trilogy steel tip and soft tip models is that while the steel tip barrels have a blunt nose profile, the soft tips taper slightly into the point. All cuts, shapes and designs are universal across the board.
Perhaps the most distinguishable feature of the Trilogy darts is the 21.5g weight option available in both steel tip and soft tip. Like the Exact darts range, Winmau took inspiration from MVG's original 23g darts set that wore down to exactly 21.5g over the course of 10 years.

MVG TRILOGY DARTS FLIGHT
As part of the MVG Prism Flight Collection, the MVG Trilogy flights have the typical MVG flight design with parallel and diagonal lines and a dark grey-silver color scheme. The logos and the wide parallel lines at the center mimic the 24c gold coating with a gold gradient.
These special flights are new additions to the Winmau Prism Delta flights collection and are made from an extra thick, low-profile solid material that'll guarantee endurance and high performance.
MVG TRILOGY DARTS SHAFT
Winmau debuted a gold and black version of their top performing Vecta shafts to complement the MVG Trilogy darts range. Each shaft is made with high-impact polycarbonate material with an alloy tip, ensuring these shafts are durable and effective.
These shafts enhance the rest of the dart's design with a similar sleek black coating and golden tips.
