Making a comeback in this year's Winmau launch is the Firestorm Range that previously debuted last year. The beloved range has reintroduced itself as the Firestorm Flame Darts Range – now fashioned in a bright fiery theme that's sure to catch the eye of any dart lover.

What do all Firestorm Flame Darts have in common?
The Firestorm Flame darts range features common themes that all available models share including cuts, Flame edition flights, and Vecta shafts.
CUTS - HIGH PRECISION MILLING
Much like the original Firestorm range, the Firestorm Flame darts feature a unique milling pattern all throughout the barrel – an interrupted stepped axial cut design where the vertical cuts shift around the barrel. It almost looks like you're rotating this dart's dials like a combination padlock to unlock it.
Complementing the design is an Onyx performance coating themed just like the colors of a flame – a beautiful gradient of reds, oranges, and yellows. These colors are definitely more true to the name and a livelier upgrade from the yellow to green to blue gradient of the first edition of the Firestorm darts range.
Firestorm Flame Darts Flight & Shaft
The Flame edition flights are patterned with an array of geometric triangle patterns where the triangles also fade from red to orange to yellow just like the barrel. Black and grey triangles and parallel lines accent the flights, providing a visual contrast to the bright fire-inspired colors.
These special flights are new additions to the Winmau Prism Alpha flights collection and are made from an extra thick, unique poly metronic material that'll guarantee endurance and high performance.
Once again, Winmau used their top performing Vecta shafts for this range. Each shaft is made with high-impact polycarbonate material with an alloy tip, ensuring these shafts are durable and effective.
These shafts feature a sleek black color that blends right into the flight and the signature Vecta logo is printed in silver along the side.
90% TUNGSTEN BARREL
Clearly, the Firestorm Flame darts are the high-end non-player dart of choice for this launch with a 90% tungsten metal makeup, making the Firestorm Flame quite special in addition to its unique color scheme.
The higher percentage of tungsten gives the barrel a more dense and slimmer feel without compromising weight and durability.
How do the Firestorm Flame darts models differ?
The main difference between the darts in this range is the barrel shapes offered. All cuts and designs are universal across the board.

As the name suggests, the steel tip variation of the Firestorm Flame darts does have a lovely taper into the point. However, the soft tip version is almost a true Torpedo shape as the diameter of the front and rear taper are near identical.

GRIP INTENSITY 2.5/5
We rate the entire Firestorm Flame darts range with a grip intensity of a 2.5 out of 5 for both the tapered and parallel barrel shapes.
Suggested Grip Style for Firestorm Flame Darts Tapered & Parallel
We suggest a 3 finger hold for the tapered version to take advantage of the barrel shape. This also works wonders for straight barrel shapes which are also well suited for 5 finger holds.
